A sign of my inactivity: The fact that this is my FIRST journal post since the beginning of the semester. And I think I speak for nearly everyone in my classes when I say it's freak-out mode time. We were all fairly relaxed, going at what we thought was a nice pace thinking, "Nothing is due until December 4th anyway". Well, it finally clicked. December 4th is only a couple short weeks away. Uh, can we say... "*$&^!!!"
Ok, part of this is my own slacker problem as I waited until the last two weeks to even bother looking at my OTHER two online classes, that require a bit more work that I had originally thought. Not hard but... time consuming. And frankly, my eyes are killing me. After getting laid off, I began spending my work days on the computer instead. Shall I total my computer hours for you? Looking at having spent around 6-8 hours PER DAY in front of a computer. I know I should get used to it, considering I'm going into a career that involves a lot of time spent in front of a computer, but I need balance. I need some spent spent doing something at least somewhat active. At my last job, I was on my feet for probably 7 hours of my 8 hour work day. Now, I'm just sitting, sitting sitting. Thankfully, Snowboarding season is just around the corner, literally. Right after finals. Ad I am MORE than ready for it. I have been feeling very much out of shape and... pathetic lately. Some physical activity will do me good. Apparently a lot of good. My Health & Wellness class agrees with that, in many many cases. Especially sad considering that is one of my online classes, so it's a computer, basically, that is telling me to get off my butt and go do something. Ok, more like an online book, and quizzes and whatnot, but still.
ANYWAY.... well I just feel drained now. Hopefully more artwork soon, I don't know. I haven't been working on much lately beyond school work. But maybe I will post some of my doodles and such, and some of those drawings from LAST year that I never posted. We shall see. But I'm pooped. Need to get off the computer, get some dinner, and go watch Up
Which reminds me, anyone else notice that Dug from Up is in Ratatouille? Truly, he is! When Remy is climbing up through the building to have a look around (Discovering he is in Paris), he encounters a dog, briefly. While you only see the shadow of the dog, take a look, it is clearly Dug. And that is in no way surprising. It is Pixar, after all. But ok, I'm done. Movie and food time.
